Before spicy memes and speech-to-text, society communicated with the written word. Putting pen to paper brings a lucidity to thought and a depth to expression that glowing screens noticeably lack.

In this weekend course participants will learn to make steel pens, pen knives, quills and traditional desk accessories, and learn how to use them with paper and ink for drawing, writing or calligraphy.

An intermediate course, prior metalworking experience is useful but not required.
