Tulip Hinges - Set

CA$165.00

A lovely example of 18th century Pennsylvania Dutch ironwork, these hand-forged strap hinges are embellished with delicate tulip finials and precise file-and-chisel ornaments. Suitable for shed or smaller barn doors, rustic and elegant.

The coating is “blacksmith paint”, a traditional blend of beeswax and natural linseed oil that is applied hot and baked into a long-lasting shield against rust. The bright spots at the base and stem of the hinge are filed through the coating, for contrast.

The hinges are mounted on 1/2” spike pintles, designed to be driven into the jamb for an outward-opening door. (Contact us for other mounting options)

Each hinge measures 18.5” long. Sold in pairs.
