The Indestructible Garden Trowel
The Indestructible Garden Trowel
I am always amazed at the low quality of garden tools - cheap stamped metal and flimsy cast aluminum that bends in hard dirt or simply falls apart under use.
So I decided to forge a garden trowel that will last indefinitely. Forged from a single piece of steel, the hollow handle is sculpted to fit the hand and flows seamlessly into the sharp, un-bendable blade. Turn soil, chop roots or drive it into the ground to excavate stubborn plants.
The baked black oil finish inhibits rust, but it's a good idea to wipe it off after use.
Will not bend, will not break, will not rot. Dig it!
NB: It is ergonomic and smooth, but a steel handle is most comfortable used with gloves. If you prefer your bare hands in the earth, please look for my leather-wrapped version.
~12” in length, blade 2.5” wide.
